Sometimes, there is not a specific issue to treat, such as a particular injury or certain part of your body that is hurting or giving you trouble.
This could be because of the posture you have at work, or the levels of stress you have to deal with on a daily and weekly basis. This is not an unusual situation, but that doesn’t make it comfortable or acceptable to put up with.
We will look at you as a whole and investigate the areas where your symptoms are coming from, working out why things have become that way.
We will identify all the factors at play and help you understand what you need to do yourself to improve your situation. This will probably involve having a discussion about how active you are, what exercise you do regularly (whether too little or too much), what your diet is like, what your stress levels are like and how much good quality sleep you get most nights. Improvement in these areas will likely increase your chances of recovery.
However, this might not be enough to give you the relief you are looking for.
Various types of treatment will be recommended to alleviate your symptoms, such as freeing up areas that need releasing, or getting things to move properly again.
There is not a single treatment technique that will solve everything, so we will look for the right combination for you and optimise what we do to get you feeling better as soon as possible.
There will also be things you can do yourself at home, such as exercises, and we will guide you on this after you have been assessed.
